Copper wire stolen from Cell Phone Tower in Murfreesboro

Have you ever climbed a cell phone tower without permission? If so, police may want to speak with you. Someone broke into a fence surrounding a cell phone tower and stole copper wiring on the sides of the tower leading to the top. The theft of wire occurred in the area of Hardwood Drive near State Route 840. The tower is used by AT & T and the missing wire does affect the way the tower works with cell phones in the area.

The total value of the theft has yet to be calculated.
