The fake money continues to roll into Rutherford County. Most recently, Murfreesboro Police confiscated a fake $100 after responding to a home on Lismore Drive. When authorities arrived at the house an officer observed a counterfeit $100 on the coffee table. The resident picked the money up and handed it to the officer stating, “You might want to check this.” Sure enough – it was a fake.

In the past three months, fake cash has turned up at Sam’s Club, Thornton’s Gas, Wendy’s, Hardee’s, and Checkers, just to name a few victims.
