(MURFREESBORO) - It's been a scramble for school districts across the state to get TCAP scores for final report cards. The state Department of Education announced last week that scores would be delayed. That sent systems, like Rutherford County, scrambling. Rutherford County Schools spokesperson James Evans tells WGNS News that the county asked for a waiver to not include the scores as part of the last nine-week grading period. The state reports about 100 districts asked for a similar waiver.

The state was able to get TCAP results to school districts last Friday and Evans says since they have that information, it WILL be included on report cards this year. He says the school system is processing the results today (Tuesday) and teachers will have the information in time to get report cards out to students on Thursday. That's the last day of school, a half day, for students to pick up their report cards.
