A Smyrna man and woman have been arrested on numerous drug manufacturing related charges. The arrests of 46-year old Edward Tarpley and 45-year old Tabitha Tarpley of Hazelwood Drive took place on Saturday. The two now face a variety of meth manufacturing charges.

The charges that Edward Tarpley face are more significant than Elizabeth. According to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, Edward faces “child abuse, aggravated neglect charges” as well as the original promotion of meth charges that both the man and the woman face.

The alleged meth lab was found in the couple’s home (on Hazelwood Drive). Police found out about the lab because of a recent response to the address over a domestic violence situation. At least one child in the home was turned over to the custody of a relative.

The duo will make an appearance in court in the near future.
