Charles Arnold, formerly with the Murfreesboro City Schools, has been named Associate Director for Finance and Administration with the Franklin Special School District.

His first day on the job will be December 1st.

The post was previously occupied for the past 13 years by John McAdams, who retired in October.

Franklin's Special School District Director Dr. David Snowden said, "He brings extensive experience in the areas of educational and other governmental finances. He will most definitely be an asset to our Leadership Team."

Arnold served in a similar position in the Murfreesboro City Schools for over eight years from 1999 to 2007. His more recent experience has been as the chief financial officer for Dawson McAllister Association, a not-for-profit organization located in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Mr. Arnold has also served as the chief financial officer for the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. He also served as Director of Financial Management for six years with the Tennessee Department of Health and Environment.

Arnold's degree is in Business Administration (Accounting) from Middle Tennessee State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
