A strong start to the first and third quarters led to Blackman's 80-56 win over Smyrna. The Lady Blaze were clicking on all cylinders offensively and forced Smyrna into 30 turnovers. Both Meme Jackson and Miss Basketball finalist Crystal Dangerfield each had 19 points for Blackman. Smyrna's Treasure Hunt had 14. The Lady Blaze will play Oakland Monday in the fifth district tournament championship in school history. Smyrna plays Riverdale.

BLACKMAN / SMYRNA GIRLS SEMIFINAL PODCAST

Siegel's length and athleticism was too much for the Smyrna boys to overcome in the Stars' 80-66 win. There were great individual performances in the games. Siegel's Ryan Jones had 28 points Smyrna's Jalen Johnson had 25. Siegel moves to the championship game with the win and remain undefeated at 27-0. The Bulldogs will face rival La Vergne in the consolation game.

SIEGEL / SMYRNA BOYS SEMIFINAL PODCAST

The Oakland girls have made a lot of history in one week. First, they defeated Riverdale for the first time in nine years. Then, with their 58-55 semifinal win over the Lady Warriors, ended a 10-year run by Riverdale in the finals. Oakland led by 16 going into the final quarter, but went cold from the field. However, the Lady Warrior's comeback came up short as the Lady Pats hit enough free throws down the stretch to secure the win. Ansley Eubank had 13 to lead Oakland, 12 from Kiara Howse. Riverdale's Shelbie Davenport led her team with 23. Oakland moves to the championship game and will face Blackman. Riverdale battles Smyrna in the consolation game.

RIVERDALE / OAKLAND GIRLS SEMIFINAL PODCAST

Two stingy defenses were locked in a close battle through three quarters. But a 16-to-7 run by Blackman in the fourth quarter led them to a 43-32 win over the La Vergne boys. Juaun Jennings and Reid Pierce led the Blaze with 11 each while Isaiah Hart chipped in 10. Isaiah Reese was the Wolverines' leading scorer with 12. Marquis Johns followed with 11. Blackman will face Siegel in the championship game while La Vergne will play rival Smyrna in the consolation game Tuesday.
