A Murfreesboro woman and her dog were attacked along Ewing Boulevard by a rottweiller. Murfreesboro Police report Chelsey Vance was walking her dog Roxie around 7:45 last Thursday when the large rottweiller came out of a house and attacked her dog. Vance was bitten trying to separate the two dogs. A passerby stopped to help break up the dogs and took her home. Roxie was taken to an animal hospital for emergency surgery while the 22-year old was treated for her bite wound at the MTSU clinic. PAWS was notified, along with the owner of the rottweiller. The dog was staying at a home on Ewing Boulevard while the owner was out of town.
