A 26 year old Murfreesboro man has been arrested on drug charges after being pulled over on University Street. Charles Randall Northington who goes by the nickname of "Ron C," was stopped because the MPD Officer who pulled him over had prior knowledge of an active warrant for "Violation of Probation."

During the stop Northington informed Officer C. Phillips that he had a Lortab pill in his possession and a marijuana blunt in the center console of the car. A further search revealed a digital scale with drug residue on it.
