A down payment for a deck... gone.

The Stevens Bend Drive victim called the Murfreesboro Police Department after making a down payment to Five Star Renovations for a new deck to be built next to his swimming pool, but nearly a month later the deck has not even been started.

The victim told police he wrote the check that totaled $2,986 on May 8th and the check was later cashed on May 11, 2015. As of June 5, 2015... no work has taken place and the company has failed to return phone calls made by the victim.

The victim turned all paperwork over to the Murfreesboro police department. The case has been labeled as a theft over $1,000.
