Survey teams have been out analyzing debris from the storms that rolled through Middle Tennessee leaving destruction last Wednesday. The National Weather Service has determined the storm that hit Eagleville was a low end EF1 tornado with a 4.5 mile track. This would indicate rotation with winds between 73 and 90mph.  The storm begain just after 3:40am on Horton Highway, just west of Eagleville. It lifted six-minutes later just two-miles northeast of the downtown area on Swamp Road. Four homes received damage, mostly due to falling trees. Several outbuildings and barns were also damaged.  Only one family on Elm Street was displaced and they are staying with friends until their residence can be repaired.  All effected homeowners reportedly had insurance.
