The Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department responded to a fire at 2563 Choctaw Trace just after 12:30 Tuesday morning. Choctaw Trace is off of Haynes Drive in the Riverview area.  

District 7, Ladder 6, Engine 1, and Rescue 8 discovered flames in the garage of the home upon arrival.

According to Shift Commander Dale Maynard, “The fire is knocked down at this time, but crews are still checking for ‘hot spots’.”

There was no one injured in the incident and they are still in the process of contacting the electric department to see if the meter needs to be pulled.
