Early Voting Has Begun

Early voting in Rutherford County has begun. This is the presidential primary that is now underway. In Rutherford County government there are two primary elections taking place on March 6th. The elections are for the Assessor of Property and Road Superintendent. In the race for Assessor of Property, incumbent republican Bill Boner is running for re-election. Boner is running against republicans William C. Austin and Lance Jenkins. Also in the running is democrat Rob Mitchell.  

In the race for road superintendent, incumbent Mike Williams has decided not to seek re-election. Running in that race are republicans Robert Alsup, Greg Brooks, Buddy Gambill, Jr. and Joe Frank Jernigan. Running as a democrat is B.J. Smotherman.

The election in the county will be on March 6th. Early voting will take today through the 28th.
