Rutherford County registered voters can take advantage of early voting as of today (Friday). Early voting for the August 2nd state primary and county general election will continue until July 28th. County races include school board, property assessor, road superientendent and road board. Voters will also nominate candidates in the state primary for U-S Senate, U-S House and both the state house and senate. Before you head to the polls, be sure you have a government issued photo I-D, like a driver's license. When the final polls close and the election results are released, WGNS will again have "live" election coverage August 2nd.
