Easter Egg Hunting in Rutherford County

Grab your basket and head to the Annual Easter Egg Hunt in La Vergne on Saturday, March 28. The Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the event starting with games at 9:00 a.m. and the egg hunt scheduled at 10:00 a.m. prompt.

"There will be more than 7,000 eggs this year including three golden grand prize eggs," said Mayor Dennis Waldron. "The actual Easter Egg Hunt lasts only a few minutes so we want kids to get their early so they won't miss it."

The hunt is open to ages 11 and under. There will be three age divisions with three grand prize golden eggs for newborn to age four, ages five to seven, and ages eight to 11 years old. Parents will not be allowed on the field for children ages five and up.

The Easter Bunny is expected to make an appearance at the event which is being held at Veterans Memorial Park, located at 115 Floyd Mayfield Drive. In addition, the Chick-fil-A cow is also participating.
