A man was shot and several others robbed in the 200 block of Eastland Avenue. Murfreesboro Police report several victims were robbed and one was shot by at least two black males just after 1:20 Sunday morning. During the robbery, friend's of the victims pulled up in their vehicle and they were also robbed. That's when one of the suspects shot one of the victims before fleeing toward the MTSU campus. When police arrived, the 22-year old shooting victim was transported to Vanderbilt Hospital. Several of the others who were robbed reported being struck in the head with the suspect's pistol. The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office aided in the search with the K-9 unit but they were unable to locate the subjects. They were described as black males with a thin build and wearing dark colored clothing.
