Linebaugh Library Director Rita Shacklett announced a new goal of opening the Community Technology Center (CTC) in the Hobgood area by the end of 2015.

She noted that they want to lease or purchase 5,000 square feet of space with a large amount of parking.

Another need is for a second project: locating the genealogy section of the library at the Rutherford County Archives building on Rice Street. Shacklett is hopeful that a business or individual will donate $1.5-million to construct this facility. The naming rights could honor a person or group.
