More fake money problems continue in Murfreesboro. In this report we have information to bring your way about a fake check written out to Guaranty Trust on Robert Rose Drive for over $13,000. The bank president filed the report with M-P-D.

Publicly available police reports show the routing number on the check was used to make several online payments to Capital One, Georgia Power, Direct TV and more. The question now is… who wrote the check?

Detectives now have a copy of the forged check to start their investigation into who wrote the check.

While this may be unrelated, two men tried to use a fake check or an invalid check to purchase high dollar items at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts store this past week. The store in question is on Broad Street in Murfreesboro across from Southeastern Tire. The men were told the check could not be used and the subjects left in a white Buick with Nashville, TN tags.
