In a follow up about a fire this past weekend, a family of 10 is still in need of assistance.
A Rutherford County family of 10 escaped only clothed with pajamas when fire engulfed their home early Saturday on Halls Hill Pike, a volunteer fire chief said.
David and Cassandra Ellis and their eight children ages 2 to 15 fled the house about 3:15 a.m., said Lascassas Fire Chief Trey Nunley.
People who want to help the family are asked to call Lascassas Volunteer Fire Department Chaplain Jeff Fuqua at 410-6637.
The cause of the fire appears to be accidental.
