On Friday, June 27, Rutherford County Extension Agent Mitchell Mote will discuss "Organic Pest Control for Lawn and Landscapes." This class starts at 9 a.m. as well. Mitchell will be presenting alternatives to synthetic products and setting realistic expectations of use. "One thing people must realize is that the control may be organic, but it is still a toxic pesticide. So we'll look at possibilities that are out there," said Mitchell.
