Summer crops are now ready for picking and visitors to the Rutherford County Farmer's Market are the big winners. The farmer's market is open each Tuesday and Friday at the Lane Agri-Park on John R. Rice Boulevard.
In addition to the great local buys, they're offering educational classes each week.
On Friday, Master FCE volunteer Pam Sites is going to talk about canning, juicing, drying, and freezing tomatoes. She will present ways of enjoying tomatoes year round.
Classes are held at the Community Center at the Lane Agri-Park. They start at 9 a.m. and are free and open to the public.
