A freshman high school student from Rutherford County represented our community in a very positive manner on Saturday. Taylor Cuneo, age 14, was picked to run in the Nike Cross Nationals. Cuneo, who attends Central Magnet School, placed 8th in the nation and she now holds the honor of being the fastest freshman in the U.S.

On Saturday, Cuneo ran the 5,000 meter race in 17-minutes and 41-seconds. The race was held in Portland, Oregon.
