Fatal Accident in Smyrna

A person injured during an accident earlier this month in Smyrna has passed away. Lottie Hunter, an 86-year old Smyrna resident, died Tuesday from injuries sustained in a February 21st accident at the intersection of West Sam Ridley Parkway and Motlow College Boulevard. Hunter was driving a white Chevrolet Aveo and struck a blue Chevrolet Cruze which was being driven by Leonard D. Moore, 55, of Smyrna. Moore was injured along with his passenger, Diane K. Moore, 55, of Smyrna. The Smyrna Police Department investigation revealed Hunter, who was traveling westbound on West Sam Ridley Parkway, failed to stop at the traffic light, striking Moore's vehicle.
