A federal warrant for robbery was served on a Murfreesboro man Thursday morning. 29-Year old Anthony Henry Jackson was not exactly willing to surrender. He was located in the area of Sloan Street and when police showed up, he was leaving in a cab. Officers pulled the cab over and Jackson jumped out and ran.
The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office responded bringing a K-9 to search for the suspect. Within minutes, he was located behind a house on Fourth Avenue, hiding under a deck. Jackson was physically pulled out from hiding and arrested.
The arrest report shows that Jackson would not cooperate when questioned by M-P-D. He is currently behind bars where he is awaiting his court date which has been set for August 5, 2014.
Jackson was charged with the following:
- Robbery
- Aggravated Burglary
- Evading Arrest
- Resisting Arrest
- Theft Over $1,000
- Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle
- Driving on a Suspended License
- Leaving the Scene of an Accident
