Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department officials say the Sir Pizza located at 110 Veterans Parkway will be closed until further notice due to an early morning fire.

Districts 1, 2, and 9 responded to the restaurant just before 4:00 Friday morning.

According to Shift Commander Daryl Alexander, the fire appears to have started in the oven and vent fan area.

"Crews were able to extuinguish the fire quickly," said Alexander.

MFRD's Fire Marshals Office will conduct a routine investigation, but at this time, the fire is believed to be accidental.
