Fire in Murfreesboro at apartment complex on Northfield

Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department’s District 8, Engines 1 and 4, Ladder 6, and Rescue 7 responded to an apartment fire at 1710 E Northfield Boulevard just after 9:30 Sunday morning. The apartment complex where the fire occured was at Kings Crossing. 

Upon arrival, District 8 discovered heavy flames from the downstairs apartment window. Crews were able to get the fire out quickly. Acting Shift Commander Joe Barrett said, “Crews did a great job getting the fire knocked down.”

Damage was mainly contained to Apartment O-1 in the bedroom area. However, the upstairs apartment received some smoke damage. Meters to both apartments were pulled and the American Red Cross assisted the residents. No injuries were reported with this incident.

Assistant Fire Marshal Tracy Summar was called to the scene to conduct a routine investigation.
