Although this August is heating up, the City of La Vergne is hosting an “End of Summer Bash” on Sunday, September 1, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The event will take place on the football field of Veterans Memorial Park off of Floyd Mayfield Drive.

The event will feature the music of Wildfire, a popular 70’s band. In addition, there will be hamburgers and drinks for sale, free temporary tattoos, bounce houses, balloon animals, and more. It will end with a free fireworks show at dark.

“We had to postpone our Fourth of July event due to the relentless, drenching rain,” said Mayor Senna Mosley. “Instead of completely canceling the fireworks show, we have planned this End of Summer Bash to remember our nation’s Independence Day and to kick off a very exciting September.  We hope our citizens and visitors come on out to the park for an evening of family fun.”

Visitors should consider bringing lawn chair and blankets for the event.
