First National Bank of Middle Tennessee will open its fourth financial services location in Murfreesboro in mid-May when a second full-service bank branch debuts at 3427 Memorial Boulevard, right across from the VA Hospital.

First National Bank's operation started through a loan production office in 2007 and had a tremendous amount of success which lead to the opening of its first full-service branch on Gateway Boulevard next to St. Thomas Rutherford in 2011. That same year First National Bank started assembling a strong mortgage team and today FNB Mortgage, a department of First National Bank, has an office in the Waterstone building. In addition to the traditional bank products, First National Bank also owns and operates Waterstone Title, which opened in 2012.

"Our Bank has been very successful in Murfreesboro with the one full service branch location," Pieter van Vuuren, First National Bank President and CEO said, adding, "The addition of this location will enable our valued customers to have more convenient access to our products and very experienced staff."

The new branch will have 8-10 employees, offering depository products, safe deposit boxes, commercial lending, mortgage lending and consumer lending.

The First National Bank workforce will grow to approximately 45 in Rutherford County, including the two branches, mortgage and title operations.

The 5,400-square-foot building is being constructed by Shane McFarland Construction of Murfreesboro.
