Dan Whittle photo exhibit at Arts Center of Cannon County
May 25-June 30, 2012 Dan Whittle's photo art is on display at the Arts Center of Cannon County (1424 John Bragg Highway in neighboring Woodbury). Admission is free to the Marly Berger Gallery. This well known journalist-photographer-author has creative nature photos and captures life in action through the lens of his camera. Middle Half Marathon
Sat. (Oct. 13, 2012) 7AM 6th Annual Middle Half Marathon and Murph's Fun Run. The 13.1-mile course starts and stops at MTSU's Dean Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium and the course is around the beautiful flat and tree-lined Murfreesboro historic district. The Murfreesboro Half Marathon course has been certified as accurate in measurement according to the standards adopted by the USATF Road Running Technical Council. Nikki Giovanni: "Life in the Bottoms"
Tue (May 29, 2012) 5:30PM Renowned social activist and poet Nikki Giovanni will speak at New Vision Baptist Church (1750 N. Thompson Lane). "Life In The Bottoms" is the final part of MTSU's 2012 local history series. The evening begins with a barbecue dinner at 5:30PM. Then at 6:30PM oral history reports from the field school will be presented. At 7:30PM Giovanni will present her talk, “Something called progress killed my grandmother: Urban Renewal and African American Neighborhoods.” Tickets are $25 and available at the Bradley Academy Museum and Cultural Center. Ford of Murfreesboro's Fleet/Commercial Department Named To "Top 25 Club"

Ford of Murfreesboro Fleet/Commercial Department received special recognition from Ford Motor Company by being named to the prestigious Top 25 Club. More specifically, the local dealership’s fleet/commercial department was ranked the 15^th largest Ford fleet dealer in sales in the United States for 2011.

Owner/General Manager David Lee said, “I couldn’t be more proud of Keith McCullough and the staff of our Fleet Department. Not only have they made us the number one Fleet dealership in the state and one of the largest in the southeast, now we are recognized as number fifteen in the country.”

On hand for the presentation were David Lee, Keith McCullough, Fleet Manager and Bryan Taylor, Ford Motor Company Government Account Manager.
