UPDATE: Former Colonel for the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office Arrested in Robertson County, TN

Former Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department Colonel Eddie Farmer was arrested in Robertson County, Tennessee. Farmer was booked in at the Robertson County jail at 3:30, Monday morning and released on bond by 4-AM. The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office and Jail told WGNS that Farmer was booked because he had a Capias filed in Circuit Court.

We learned that 55-year old Farmer and his former girlfriend, 28-year old Catrina McQuiston are accused of allegedly coercing a boy and girl into having sex in 2010. The TBI investigated the case.

The Charges in Robertson County, TN:

Farmer is charged with two counts of especially aggravated exploitation of a minor, two counts of conspiracy to commit especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, two counts of solicitation of a minor, two counts of criminal responsibility for aggravated statutory rape and one count of attempted tampering with evidence. McQuiston is charged with two counts of especially aggravated exploitation of a minor, two counts of conspiracy to commit especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of aggravated statutory rape.

Past Incident in Rutherford County, TN:

You may recall in 2005, Farmer was fired by former Rutherford County Sheriff Truman Jones for misuse of county property. When Farmer was fired from the Sheriff’s Office, four to five photos of child pornography were found on his computer. Farmer claimed that he obtained the photos to use in a seminar regarding search and seizure issues in the investigation of child sexual abuse and child pornography. Charges were never filed after he was terminated in ’05.

Farmer was also a former Colonel with the Tennessee National Guard. He is currently an attorney in Springfield, TN.
