Former Judge Enters Crowded Race for New Judge Seat

A former judge is among the many who've qualified to run for a new General Sessions Judge position recently created. Former General Sessions Judge Larry Brandon is among the nine candidates seeking the new position.

Brandon, an incumbent General Sessions judge, was defeated in 2014 by former Murfreesboro City Councilman Toby Gilley. Others who have qualified are Lisa Bell, Ben Bennett, Kirk Catron, Andrae Crismon, Tom Frost, Lisa Eischeid (EYE-shy-ed), Sonya Henderson and Jeff Peach.

Election day is August 4th.
