Five years after serving in the Marines, Steven Rhodes is a freshman at MTSU. And because he played football in a military rec league, an N-C-Double-A rule won't allow him to play for the Blue Raiders this season. The rule, which basically takes away a year of eligibility for each year of play in the rec league, is being appealed according to university officials. It could take a month for the collegiate schools athletic governing body to make a ruling.
