Kennedy holds a Bachelor of Education degree from MTSU and says that he knows about youth and their modern-day problems since he made history when helping establish Tennessee’s first Sheriff’s School Resource Officer Division.

In 1993, Kennedy was the first school resource officer in Tennessee while serving with the Rutherford Sheriff’s Department where he attained the ranks of captain and major. Robert Rickman WGNS news.

“Servant is the highest title there is in the Bible,” Kennedy describes. “Being a police servant for your community and country is a very humbling, but high-fulfilling experience, especially when serving youth.”

“Our great county’s population growth brings problems, including unlawful and illegal influences never exposed before to our youth, the next leaders of our nation,” Kennedy noted. “As adult leaders of today, we have the responsibility to rid our community and school classrooms from organized gang and drug influences.”

Kennedy will make his public announcement on Oct. 12th at the “Raiders for Kennedy for Sheriff BBQ”. The event will be held at the Lane Agri-Park Community Center at 315 John Rice Blvd. Murfreesboro, TN. 37128.
