FOUND: Step mom discovers son missing when she goes to awake him

Sgt. Kyle Evans with the Murfreesboro Police Department confirmed that a Potters Court juvenile reported missing in Murfreesboro on September 18, 2015 has been found safe. The teen was located in Goodlettsville, Tennessee on Tuesday (9/22/15). Police there have questioned the teen as to what transpired.

Evans originally told WGNS, "There are no known medical issues and the case is NOT classified as a kidnapping, however no friends or family have heard from him since he went missing from his bedroom and he took nothing with him according to the investigating detective."

Kelton Scott Dickens is only 16-years old. He was found to be missing when his step mother went to wake him up to catch the school bus. She told police the screen in his bedroom window had been popped out and he was nowhere to be found. The last time the step mother saw Dickens was on the evening of the 17th, the night before.

He was found safe on Tuesday and police confirmed he was not abducted. However, the reason for him leaving has not been released.
