After serving his country, Warren and friend Edward Smotherman opened the Mid State Roller Rink in 1955, now known as SkateCenter West. Many adults throughout our community remember paddle tag, birthday parties and couples only skating like it was just yesterday. Not to mention the fact that children and grandchildren of the ones who once skated at SkateCenter West every Friday night still skate there today.

Funeral service will be 2:00PM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
