Franklin's Printing Welcomes Chip Payne, Operations Specialist

Franklin's Printing announces the addition of Chip Payne as their Operations Specialist. Chip has nearly 30 years of experience as a printing and pre-press specialist, graphic designer, production and project manager, customer service, and as a business owner. He joined Franklin's in July.

Chip received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Middle Tennessee State University in 1990. He established a solid base of knowledge in printing and pre-press. With many years as a color correction specialist, Chip expanded his lifelong interest to web application design and developing. He also held several management positions in graphics and printing.

Chip has spent the last 14 years primarily focused on website design and development, user interface design and development, and photography. His experience includes working for various companies, such as Asurion, developing company intranets for businesses using SharePoint, a comprehensive integrated tracking and management system. Other projects include the development and design of user interface applications using ServiceNow, an information technology (IT) service management software for maintaining business flow.

With years of experience as a web interactive designer, Chip stays on top of the industry by continuing to train in languages, such as Javascript, HTML5, and new software IT services. He has vast experience in nearly every aspect of the web, many at the expert level.

A lifelong artist and award winning designer, Chip has an extensive background in graphic design and is a Photoshop editor and specialist. Some of his long-term clients include Bob Parks Realty, Main Street Homes, MTSU, Cracker Barrel, American Greeting Cards, and Franklin's. Chip has also worked with fine artists to create limited edition art reproductions.

In addition to interactive design and development of applications and forms, such as online tax related application processing, Chip designed, developed and managed several mobile applications, as well as a variety of miscellaneous projects involving kiosk design and creating online portals for ordering. He also continues to design and manage social media.

As Operations Specialist at Franklin's, Chip begins his position focusing on production, interactive design and development, and design services including, digital and commercial printing, banners and signs, and information graphics. His experience and understanding of client needs in the world of website design and development have created new potential for Franklin's as well. Middle Tennessee can expect new services in the near future to enhance the customer experience from this trusted commercial and custom printer.

Chip and his wife Alison, a Murfreesboro City Schools child psychologist, attend World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro. Their son, Garrett, is a junior at Auburn University, majoring in aerospace engineering. In his free time, Chip loves competitive bass fishing.
