If your child is age two and a half to four years of age, and you are concerned that they might have visual, hearing, speech or learning disorders, Rutherford County Schools are offering a free early childhood screening.

Next Saturday, May 21st, bring your child to either Barfield Elementary School at 350 Veterans Parkway here in Murfreesboro or Stewartsboro Elementary at 10479 Old Nashville Highway in Smyrna. No appointment is needed, just come by between 8:30 in the morning and 2:00 that afternoon.

A spokesperson with the Rutherford County school system notes that this is not intended for children who will be entering kindergarten this fall. If you have questions, please phone 615-893-5812, extension 22035 or 22057.
