The mobile health unit of Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital will be at the La Vergne Public Library on Wednesday, July 9 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.  Free blood pressure and glucose checks will be available to the public.

The goal of the mobile health unit is to help achieve access to health care, helping individuals overcome barriers and obstacles. According to Saint Thomas Rutherford, they are a faith-based health care institution motivated by the principles of human dignity and common good.

No appointment is necessary for the free health screenings. For more information, call (615) 631-7739.

In addition, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., qualified children will receive a free teeth cleaning and sealant, provided by Oral Health Services of the Tennessee Department of Health.
