Garvin to Run for 37th District House Seat

Local businessman and educator, Richard Garvin, Jr., of Smyrna has announced that he will run for the newly created 37th district House seat in Rutherford County. Garvin, who currently manages his father¹s medical practice and teaches Psychology at Fisk University in Nashville, will run as a Republican. Garvin stated, “Public service has always been of great interest to me, which is why I currently serve on the Smyrna Historic Zoning Commission, CASA Board of Directors, Linebaugh Library Board of Directors, North Rutherford YMCA Board of Directors as well as being an active member of the Smyrna Noon Rotary Club.”
