Gas prices continue a downward slide with no complaints from motorists. Nationally, the average price of a gallon of regular gas this week is $3.38, according to AAA. Locally, here in the 'Boro we found some discounters at $2.96.

AAA expects the national average to fall another 10-20 cents by the end of October. The average price at the pump typically falls during this time of year due to decreased demand and the transition to winter-blend gasoline, which is cheaper to produce.
