George Plaster Keynote Speaker at Red Cross Event in Murfreesboro

The Heart of Tennessee Chapter will be hosting their Inaugural Heroes Luncheon on Wednesday, February 6th at noon at the Doubletree Hotel on Old Fort Parkway.  The event will honor Bob Mifflin, Executive Director of The Christy-Houston Foundation, as the Red Cross “Hero of the Year”.

“We are so thrilled to have the support of all of our community sponsors and to be able to highlight the efforts of Bob Mifflin, as he has been a wonderful friend to the Red Cross and a pillar of community service in Rutherford County for many years,”  said Chapter Executive, Mike Cowles. 

The 2013 Heroes Luncheon will also feature Nashville and Murfreesboro Sports Talk Radio Host, George Plaster, as the keynote speaker. Plaster currently hosts “Sports Night” on WGNS every afternoon between 3 and 6. George Plaster has served as a host for daily afternoon sports talk radio programs for over twenty years at multiple locations. 

In 2006, Plaster was named to the inaugural Talkers Magazine "Talkers 250" list, highlighting the 250 most influential talk radio hosts in America. He remained on the list in 2007 and 2008.
