A strong third quarter lifted Riverdale to their third region championship in as many years. They used a 15-to-5 third quarter to defeat Lawrence County 59-31. Olivia Jones led the way for Riverdale with 19-points. Riverdale will host a sectional game, the loser of tonight's (Thursday) Bradley Central / Cumberland County game. WGNS will have the broadcast beginning at 6:45.

Fourth time was not the charm for Middle Tennessee Christian. Moore County defeated the Lady Cougars 54-39. MTCS will travel to Loretto for a sectional game this Saturday.

Coming up tonight, it's boys region championship night. In Region 4-Triple-A and on WGNS, it's the Blackman battling La Vergne in a district finals rematch. WGNS coverage begins at 6:45pm. The MTCS boys will battle McEwen in Region 5-A.
