The pilot of a single seat glider survived a crash landing on Sunday afternoon. The accident occurred in the Rover Community of Bedford County. Doug Smith from Franklin had to be flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of his injuries after the glider crash. The glider is co-owned by Murfreesboro resident Gary Smith.
