On July first grocery stores in Tennessee will be allowed to sell wine, according to a new state bill that passed in 2015. But, another bill is starting to make headlines that will allow grocery stores to pour and serve wine.
Senator Bill Ketron (R) of Murfreesboro tells WGNS News...
The bill to allow wine for on site consumption in grocery stores must be signed into law by the governor before it receives final approval.
As for the Wine in Grocery Stores bill... that will be enacted in July and it only allows for wine and low alcohol content beers to be sold in grocery stores. High alcohol content beers will only be sold in liquor stores.
