A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for Rutherford County and most of Middle Tennessee from Wednesday at noon until Thursday at noon. 3-6" of snow/sleet and up to a 1/10" of ice is possible.
Rutherford County has had too much of a good thing. Beneficial rainfell covered the county Monday, but caused flooding problems. Some parking lots at MTSU were closed for a time because of high water. Other areas in Murfreesboro like Siegel Road, Highland Avenue and Jones Boulevard had water over the roads at times. Jefferson Pike in the county also caused problems for a time Monday afternoon. Rain, heavy at times, continued through the overnight. They payoff comes with fall-like temperatures for the rest of the week. Highs in the 70's and lows in the 40's are expected for the next several days.
