Friends and family of 13-year old Clifton Braunwalder are helping raise money to support the family. The teen was struck and killed last Thursday while changing the tire on his mother's car alongside I-24 in Smyrna. Tina Wilson is facing vehicular homicide charges, after allegedly hitting Sondra Braunwalder's car then fleeing the scene.

The website, which we have linked on ours, WGNSRadio.com, was set up by a cousin of Clifton Braunwalder. Dontations are being accepted online to help the family offset funeral expenses in the wake of the tragedy. Any money left over will help Sondra, whose income supports the family, stays home to recover from her own injuries and tend to the emotional and spiritual needs of her family. The site is also supported by St. Rose of Lima Knights of Columbus, the parishioners of St. Rose, Boy Scout troop #538, Rutherford Tutorial Academy members, and close friends. Again, you can find a link to it at WGNSRadio.com. Organizers say if you'd like to write a check, that can be taken to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. They're located at 1601 North Tennessee Boulevard.
