The District Attorney's Office has tabbed a former Nashville prosecutor to fill the vacancy left by an assistant district attorney, who was fired for accusing Circuit Court Judge Keith Siskin of running a sexist courtroom in a child rape trial.

Sarah Davis, a 15-year assistant district attorney in the Nashville DA's Office, is taking the open position, D-A Jennings Jones tells the Murfreesboro Post. Davis was among a handful of assistant district attorneys released by new Nashville DA Glenn Funk when he took office in September, replacing 25-year D-A Torry Johnson.

She fills the slot held by Laural Hemenway, who was dismissed after Siskin filed complaints about her behavior September 18th in the trial of Christopher Hernandez, who is charged with child rape, aggravated sexual battery and solicitation for rape of a child. He was arrested in April 2013.
