"Heritage Talks" in Rutherford County this October

Join the Heritage Center of Murfreesboro and Rutherford County on Tuesdays at 11:30 this October for a series of lively lunchtime Community Heritage Talks. The presentations are part of the "Sharing Our Past: Rutherford County Heritage Month" activities. All of the presentations are free of charge. The Heritage Center is located at 225 West College Street.

The Community Heritage Talks are sponsored by the Heritage Center and the Tennessee Civil War National Heritage Area, which is a partnership unit of the National Park Service and is administered by the Center for Historic Preservation at Middle Tennessee State University.

The Heritage Center is located just off the historic Murfreesboro square and is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Group tours and tours of the town square may be arranged in advance by calling 615-217-8013. There is no charge for admission.

The Heritage Center is a joint venture between the Tennessee Civil War National Heritage Area, Main Street: Murfreesboro/Rutherford County, the City of Murfreesboro, and the Center for Historic Preservation at MTSU. Additional support comes from the Rutherford County Government and State Farm Insurance.
