City Traffic Engineer Ram Balachandran warns of areas where potential traffic gridlock could challenge holiday shoppers now through December 1st.

Veterans Pkwy (New section between Barfield Road/Kimbro Road and Barfield Crescent Road 

Expected Lane Closures: Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Final Striping and Street Lighting work continues on Veterans Pkwybetween Lone Oak Drive and Barfield Road. There will be incidental lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Bradyville Pike Road Survey Work (between Broad Street and Rutherford Blvd)

Expected NO Lane Closures: Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Surveying crews will be working along Bradyville Pike between Broad Street and Rutherford Blvd. There will be no lane closures. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Existing Red Light Camera Maintenance Work (Rutherford Blvd and Mercury Blvd/John Bragg Hwy)

Expected Lane Closures: Thursday, 9:00 AM to NOON: The contractor for Murfreesboro Police Department will be re-installing sensors in the pavement and performing maintenance work at the above intersections. There will be lane closures or traffic interruptions on N Rutherford Blvd during the installation work. Appropriate traffic controls will be in-place.

Annual City Street Paving Project

Expected Lane Closures: Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Citymilling, paving, striping and casting crews will be working on the following streets and subdivisions: Expect lane shifts and traffic interruptions during these operations.

East Cason Trail Subdivision (Knight Dr & Stoney Meadow Dr, E Cason Trail, Cason Academy, Sunland Ct)
Bridge Ave (between New Salem Hwy and W Main Street)
Weston Blvd
Lokey Ave
