A 33-year old homeless man has been charged with tampering with his monitoring device. Garen Wright was arrested after Murfreesboro Police received information about homeless people camping at the dead end of South Walnut Street, behind Clark Iron and Metal.

After a search, Wright was found to be on probation with both Providence Community Corrections and Tennessee Board of Probation and there was an active warrant for his arrest for cutting off his ankle monitor. Offenders are supervised by officers with the Tennessee Department of Correction.
