A wreck on I-24 in Smyrna shut down the westbound lanes overnight. A semi and a vehicle, both said to be traveling in the eastbound lanes, crossed over the median, into a ditch and eventually into the westbound lanes before crashing. Two people were taken to the hospital. Westbound lanes of I-24 have been reopened, after investigators shut down the interstate at mile marker 72 around 2am.
